Business English and Conversational English Lessons

Using British English, I help people in Budapest with an intermediate and advanced level of English improve their skills through one-on-one tutorials, group tutorials and Skype.

These tutorials are built around a strong personal background in finance, marketing, information technology and law as well as several diplomas relating to information technology and business.

Tutorials are made around the interests of the student. You can provide your own materials that we can work from or I can provide them in the form of short handouts and exercises.

During the meetings, I do try to make the person as comfortable as possible and believe it isn't a good idea to hand out lots of material to be read during the meeting as this is a waste of time for the person paying.  From time to time, I will give out a short story (for example) but before we are to meet so as to provide conversational material for the lesson, prompting questions and so on.

After a certain number of meetings, I usually suggest a revision of words and topics discussed.  I also prefer the idea of interrupting a student when he/she makes a mistake so I can correct them while the mistake is fresh in their mind. Of course, not all people like this so it is of individual choice.

As for meeting arrangements, I am flexible enough to be able to come to your office or a meeting place in the city center.
